Refund Policy

We hope you love your Burns & Ink journals and boxes.  Each piece is created with care and intention - but if something isn't right, we'll always do our best to make it right.
This policy explains how refunds, returns, and exchanges work for purchases made directly through our website.

Returns

If you are not completely satisfied with your order, you have 14 days from the date of delivery to contact us at hello@burnsandink.co.uk and request a return.

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be unused, unopened, and in its original packaging.

  • You must include your order number and reason for return

  • Returns must be posted back within 14 days of contacting us.

We recommend using a tracked postal service, as we cannot take responsibility for items lost in transit.

Once your return is received and inspected, we'll email you to confirm approval and process your refund.

Non-Returnable Items

Because of the personal and creative nature of our products, some items cannot be returned:

  • Opened or used journals

  • Subscription boxes once opened

  • Digital downloads or printable items

  • ​Personalised or made-to-order items

  • Perishable or consumable goods (e.g. teas, aromatherapy items, or botanicals)

If your item arrived damaged or fault, please contact us immediately with photos, and we'll arrange a replacement.

Refunds

Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 5-10 working days of receiving the returned item.  You'll receive an email confirmation once processed.

Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item was faulty or sent in error.

Exchanges

We do not currently offer direct exchanges.  If you wish to swap an item, please return it for a refund and place a new order.

Subscription Cancellations

You may cancel your subscription at any time via your My Account page, or by emailing us. Cancellations must be made before your next billing date to avoid renewal.
Once a renewal order has been processed or dispatched, it cannot be refunded.

Damaged or Faulty Items

If your order arrives damaged or incomplete, please email hello@burnsandink.co.uk within 7 days of delivery, including:

 

  • A brief description of the issue

  • Clear photos of the item and packaging

    We'll replace the item or issue a full refund where appropriate

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven't received a refund after 10 working days:
 

  1. Check your bank or card provider

  2. Contact your payment provider - it can take time for funds to appear

  3. If still unresolved, please contact us at hello@burnsandink.co.uk
